What is Kangen Water
Kangen Water® is a proprietary term. Kangen means "return to the source" in Japanese. Kangen Water is alkaline water produced from regular tap water using an Enagic water ionizer. For more than five decades, Kangen Water has been used in Japan to return the body to its original alkaline state. The result is healthy, fresh-tasting, alkaline drinking water. Kangen water ionizers produce five different types of water from regular tap water, which can be used in a variety of ways. The origins of Kangen Water date back to natural springs in various countries. Scientific studies have demonstrated high levels of active hydrogen in these springs. Kangen Water Machines use this principle to add molecular oxygen to drinking water through electrolysis. The water's fine structure allows for high cellular permeability. Thanks to its powerful antioxidant and regenerative properties, the body's hydration is significantly improved.

Why is Kangen Water healthy
Drinking plenty of water every day is crucial for our health. Water contains nutrients for our cells, aids digestion, has a detoxifying effect, helps prevent headaches and fatigue, and gives us energy. Water can even help with losing weight or maintaining our body weight. Our body is made up of up to 75% water. A good water balance is crucial for our optimal health and survival. Our diet is predominantly acidic . In addition, stress, lack of sleep, an unhealthy diet, alcohol, nicotine, and many other substances cause our body to live in a state of constant acidity. Kangen water supplies the body with ionized water, which is alkaline and has a high oxygen content. The antioxidant properties of the water hydrate the body better than regular tap water. Kangen water is enriched with molecular hydrogen (H2) , which has a strong antioxidant effect. This effectively neutralizes free radicals in the cells. Free radicals are formed as byproducts of metabolism or by external factors such as pesticides, dietary supplements, and UV rays. They are highly reactive molecules that lack an electron, making them very aggressive. This process can cause or contribute to cell damage, premature aging, and diseases such as cancer or cardiovascular disease.
Examples of acidic foods
-
Animal products: meat, sausage, fish, eggs, milk and cheese.
-
Cereal products: Especially white flour products such as bread and pasta.
-
Legumes and nuts: Depending on the variety, these can also have an acid-forming effect.
-
Recreational drugs: alcohol, coffee, black tea and nicotine.
-
Sweetener: industrial sugar.

How is Kangen water made from tap water
Step 1: Filtration
The internal high-grade filter removes chlorine, unwanted taste, and odor from tap water and reduces sediment down to 0.005 mm to ensure clean water. The internal high-performance filter removes chlorine, unpleasant odor, taste, and sediment.

Step 2: Electrolysis
The filtered water moves through several electrode plates and membranes, separating into acidic and alkaline components. It is split into OH- (hydroxide ions) and H+ (hydrogen ions). The hydrogen ions react with the electrons donated by the cathode (charged electrode) to form molecular hydrogen (H2). The hydroxide ions remain behind and make the water near the cathode more alkaline. Conversely, the hydroxide ions near the anode (+ charged electrode) donate electrons to the anode, ultimately forming O2 (oxygen). The hydrogen ions remain behind and make the water near the anode more acidic. The two types of water are separated by membranes and drained away via various tubes.

Properties of Kangen Water
The Kangen device contains up to 8 platinum-coated titanium plates. Through this process, the Kangen ionizers produce alkaline water with a pH value of 7.0 to 9.5 suitable for drinking water. The negative redox potential is one of the antioxidants and can counteract over-acidification in the body. The water penetrates our bodies right into the cells. By refining the water clusters, the Kangen water can better reach the cells and hydrate the body. Especially in older people, whose cells have already hardened and become immobile due to years of dehydration, ionized Kangen water can penetrate into the cells that are no longer active and reactivate them.

What is the relationship between oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) and pH?
The Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP)* is the electrical potential required to reduce or slow oxidation, such as rusting. Kangen Water exhibits a negative ORP. ORP is the strength of the bond with the active oxygen reduction potential and can be measured by electronic designs in hardware. Although a negative value for deoxidizing power is desirable, the actual value varies from region to region. In Osaka City, for example, tap water has an ORP of +580-600mV, but after using LeveLuk, the ORP becomes a pH of 9.5, with the ideal value being -150mV to -400mV. As the ORP of the original water supply increases, the ORP of Kangen Water moves in direct proportion.
The oxidation-reduction potential is the electrical potential required to reduce or slow rust and decay (oxidation). The ORP value also represents the reducing power to attract active oxygen. The optimal value for the human body is between -150 and -400 mV. The ORP value is also closely related to the pH value. As the pH value increases, the ORP also increases. The value depends greatly on the original water supply. An ideal ORP is usually not achieved if the original water has a pH value below 7.0.
Dehydration of our bodies
Dehydration is a deficiency symptom that often goes unnoticed or is noticed far too late. An adult should drink at least 1.5 liters of water daily to quench thirst and ensure a minimum fluid intake. Adequate cellular hydration requires 4-6 liters of water per day. Thanks to the effectiveness of Kangen Water, 2.5 liters per day ensures cellular permeability of 2 liters.
